Sip + Sourdough
Whether you're new to bread-making or already familiar with the craft, this workshop is designed to be beginner-friendly.
In this class we go step by step through the entire sourdough process, with a huge emphasis on creating and caring for a starter. We will be covering the five stages of sourdough making, such as:
Creating + feeding the starter through busy schedules (High Emphasis)
Adding ingredients + autolyse
Folding + fermentation
Shaping + cold proofing
Scoring + baking
The goal with this class is to show you how to bring sourdough bread making into your home by making the process simple, sustainable, and savory. No need to bring anything to this class, just come, take notes, and ask any questions you have! We love working with small groups of friends to large groups of women, such as church groups, school teachers, coworkers, families, and more!
What to expect..
Meet the host of the event.
Ashley is on a mission to help others restore back to a slower, more natural way of living. She recently was inspired on a trip to Guatemala as she observed the joys in the slowness of life. Coming out of a tougher season, she found joy in the hobby of bread making as she became aware of how much she WASN'T aware of the ingredients in the bread she was buying from the store.
With that information, she took it upon herself to learn more about making sourdough. It brought a newer, slower way of living that she had not yet experienced, making it so fulfilling to enjoy and serve others. Now she creates her own sourdough recipes, everything from bagels to cinnamon rolls to pretzels, and she loves teaching others how to begin their journey.
